William Eugene Renfroe, 86, of Gurley passed away Wednesday at his residence.
Gene was a native and lifelong resident of Madison County. He retired from the Madison County Commission as an auto mechanic with over 19 years of service and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. He was a member of Maysville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years: Edna Fay Renfroe; three daughters: Glenda Reed, Kay Sims and Cathy Peacock; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Orbison officiating. Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery in New Market.
