Thomas Jerry Williams, 64, of Arab, died Monday February 27, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Williams was born December 17, 1952 in McMinn County Tennessee to Arley Benjamin Williams and Nancy Louise Raper Williams. He graduated from Central High in McMinn County Tennessee and from Tennessee Technical College. Mr. Williams retired in 2008 from NASA as a Procurement Manager. He and the former Doris Marie Cowan were married for 40 years. He moved to Arab in 2003 from Huntsville. He enjoyed helping everyone and was a conversationalist and a member of the Sweet Home Choir.
He was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 40 years: Doris C. Williams; his sons and daughters-in-law: Dustin B. and Heather Williams and Quinton D. and Cassie Williams; his grandchildren: Skyler Williams, Noah Shaw and River Williams; sisters and brothers-in-law: Bennie Barnett, Jane and Eddie Moates and Annette and Jeff Swafford. He was preceded in death by his parents: Arley and Nancy Williams; a brother: Ralph Williams and a sister: Margie Wilson.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday March 2, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Tim Lynch, officiating. Burial will be in Sweet Home Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Joe Wright, Barry Papania, Bob Huntley, Mike Ridgeway, Dusty McGee and Mike Hayes.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Alton Brown and Bill Reinbold.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday March 1, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
