James Herman Knoblach, Sr. 85 of Lacey’s Spring, died Monday February 27, 2017 at Summerford Nursing Home.
Mr. Knoblach was born February 25, 1932 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to Herman James Knoblach and Edna Hicks Knoblach. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked in nuclear plants as an engineer until his retirement. He had lived in the Lacey’s Spring area for 11 years moving from California.
He was a member of Saint Benedict Traditional Roman Catholic Church in Lacey’s Spring.
Mr. Knoblach is survived by his children and in-laws: James Herman Knoblach Jr. and Tammy, Sharon Knoblach, Jill Knoblach Ranes, Joanne Knoblach Towne and Douglas; his brother: William Knoblach; grandchildren: Audrey and Brandon Phillips, Sean Hopkins, Kelley Towne, Emma Ayer and Sarah Knoblach; great grandchildren: Trevor James Phillips, Greydon Phillips and Asher Phillips. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Laurie Knoblach Ayer and two brothers: Gerald Knoblach and John Knoblach and a sister: Mary Knoblach Schadl.
Funeral mass will be 2:00 p.m. Friday March 3, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Father: Michael Oswalt, officiating. Burial will be in Oleander Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be James Knoblach Jr., Edward Ranes, Brandon Phillips, Sean Hopkins and Kenneth Eubanks.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friday March 3, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
