Billy Gordon Hood, age 72 of Quinton, passed away Wednesday February 22, 2017 at his residence. He was a devout hunter and a loyal Boston Red Sox fan. He retired from the Segco Mines and was a member of the UMWA.
Funeral service will be Saturday February 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Minister Jerry Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm for visitation at the church.
He is survived by his siblings, Stanley H. Hood (Wanette); Marjorie Holdbrooks (Ken); Carol Warren and Rickey Hood; several nieces, nephew, and a host of friends.
