Bervin W. Sherer, age 82, of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Friday, February 24, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church, with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Delmus Anthony will officiate.
Mr. Sherer was preceded in death by his Parents-George Houston Sherer and Daisy Fay Hudson Sherer; 2 Sisters-Mable Royer and Lucille Sides; 4 Brothers-Victor Sherer, Ellis Sherer, Ray Sherer and Vachel Sherer; 2 sisters who died in infancy.
He is survived by his Wife of 58 years-Frances Sherer of Jasper; Daughters-Pam Earnest (Chris) of Jasper and Pat Bennett (Matt) of Helena; Son-David Sherer (Alicia) of Alabaster; Grandchildren-Mason Bennett, Marcus Bennett and Evan Sherer.
Pallbearers will be David Sherer, Matt Bennett, Chris Earnest, Mason Bennett, Marcus Bennett, Kermit Hudson and Evan Sherer.
