Fletcher Davis, 87, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at his residence in Hamilton, AL. He was born December 20, 1929 to the late Columbus Washington Davis and the late Lela Younger Davis. He was a member of Carter Baptist Church. He worked at Billy Joe South’s Amoco station for many years and worked as a farmer for most of his life.
Services will be 2:00 pm on Thursday February 23, 2017 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Buffkin officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm today until service at 2:00. Burial will be in Shottsville Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist with arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Davis of Hamilton; daughters: Patricia (Harold) Buffkin of Hot Springs, AR, and Sherrie (Richard) Hughes of Hamilton; sons:, Phillip (Lesley) Davis of Hamilton and Terry (Debbie) Davis of Fulton; Fletcher also had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Carol Sue Davis, and several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers are Mikey Emmons, Dallas Emmons, Lee Gann, Nick Lamb, Mike Emmons, and Andrew Taylor.
