Funeral service for Zachary Michael Harding, age 30, of Decatur, will be Friday, February 24, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Nicky Pressnell officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Harding, who died Tuesday, February 21, 2017, in Morgan County, was born September 26, 1986, in Morgan County, to Perry Harding and Sherri Cannon Harding. He was preceded in death by grandparents, James Tillman Harding, Guy Sedberry Cannon, and Wilhemina Louise Cannon.
He was a 2005 graduate of Hartselle High School, and graduated Cum Laude with an Associate Degree in general education and a Bachelor of Science degree from Athens State University.
Zachary was a wonderful son, brother, and grandchild, and had many friends. He loved music, and writing and singing all genres. He taught himself to play the guitar and piano. Zach gave his life to Christ and was baptized a month ago. He had a very big heart and the ability to make anyone laugh and smile. He was loved by so many, and we will miss him terribly.
He is survived by his parents, Perry and Sherri Harding; sister, Amber Harding; grandmother, Marie Harding; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jay Burleson, Ryan Mayfield, Lee McCravy, Luke Mize, Logan Vandiver, and Laine Hughes.
