Helen Juanita Wood Mills, age 80, of Winfield, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, February 7th, 2017, at her residence.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) on Monday at the funeral home.
Ms. Mills was a lifelong resident of Winfield, Alabama. She was co-owner of Dodd Furniture with her husband Roy J. Mills, for over 38 years.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Mills, and Michael Mills; 1 grandson, Christopher Humbers; 1 sister, Ruth Thatenhurst; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy J. Mills; her parents, Columbus L. Wood, and Lilly Eugenia Burleson Wood; 3 brothers, Sherman Wood, Junior Wood, and Kenneth Wood; and 2 sisters, Edith Smith, and Betty Wood.
