Josephine “Jo” Griffis Kimbrough, 74, of Cordova, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at her residence.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, from 6 until 9 p.m. in the parlor at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at 1 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cordova. John Pinion will officiate.
Mrs. Kimbrough was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Jackson Griffis; mother, Dorothy White Griffis; husband, Connie Benjamin Kimbrough; great-grandson, Austin Gardner; four sisters; and four brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Louise Phillips of Cordova; son, Vernon Kimbrough; sisters, Betty Yarbrough, Wanda Moore, Linda Kilpatrick, Patricia Willis, Frances Rhodes and Vivian Griffis; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Al James, Tim Allen, Dylan Gardner, Bob Gardner, Zach James, Ben Sanford and C.C. Kimbrough.
