Gwin “Mama Gwin” Gilliland Burke, age 90, of Jasper, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Ridgeview Health Services.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her Parents-Jesse and Nancy Gilliland; Husband-Fred Burke, Jr.; Sister-Carmen Gilliland; Brothers-Hubert Gilliland, Arley Gilliland, Garland Gilliland, Johnny Gilliland and Herschel “Doc” Gilliland; Granddaughter-Emily Burke Anderson.
She is survived by her Son-Michael Burke (Saundra); Sister-Jessie Lou Benton; Granddaughter-Amy Burke Warren (Aaron); Great Grandchildren-Katherine Sherer, Taylor Sherer and Preston Anderson.
