Lillian Kennedy Belue, age 97, of Florence, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord, February 09, 2017. She was a member of North Wood United Methodist Church for 75 years; Weslyan Sunday School Class, Joy Club, UMW, delivered Meals on Wheels for many years, and retired as a nurse for Dr. J R Brown after 40 years of service.
Visitation will be Monday, February 13, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in Greenview Memorial Park with Rev. Scott Coats officiating.
Mrs. Belue was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Thomas and Laura Davis Kennedy; brothers, Bert, Edward, Marvin and Ray Kennedy; and husband, George D. Belue.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Belue Ellis; grandchildren, Thomas Montgomery, Keith Montgomery (Becky), and Deborah Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Brendan and Sophia Wills and Danielle Bryer; nieces, Emilee Johnson and Jane Phillips; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank the staff at Florence Nursing and Rehab for their compassionate and loving care. Also, caregivers, Margaret St. Cyr and Carnelia Landers.
