Mary L. Brooks, age 92 of Tuscumbia, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, 1-3 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Seth Hood officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Mrs. Brooks was a Colbert County native. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Brooks, sons, Ricky Brooks, Wayne Brooks, daughter, Dorothy Borden, and Gracie Taylor.
She is survived by her son; J. C. Brooks and wife, Venisa of Tuscumbia, daughters; Brenda Williams and Gail Reeves, also of Tuscumbia, brothers, Eugene Boatwright of Muscle Shoals and Billy Boatwright of Tuscumbia, sister, Doris Stewart of Tuscumbia; sixteen grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Jason Brooks, Justin Brooks, Michael Brooks, Kris Burden Jr., Ty Brooks and Jerry Howard.
