June Weatherwax, age 84 of Huntsville, passed away peacefully February 6th at home.
Survivors include her husband, Harold and eight children: Phil; Daniel (Judy); Steven (Cheryl); Patrica Ploshay (Kort); Michael; Carol; Lee (Lisa); Scott (Michelle). She survives through her brother, Donald of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. She survives through her 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma Lancto, and her siblings: Royal, John, Lillian Parent, and George.
In life, June was a devoted mother. After her children grew up, she went back to school and obtained a job at hospitals as a medical technician, in both Washington and California.
Here in Huntsville, she was an active member of Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church.
The viewing will be on Wednesday, February 8th, from 7p.m. to 9p.m, as well as Thursday, February 9th, at 11a.m; mass to follow at noon at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations made to building project at Our Lady Queen of the Universal Catholic Church 2421 Shady Ln Dr NW, Huntsville, AL 35810.
