Louie Michael Ellis, age 74, passed away on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017.
Visitation will be today, 6-8 p.m., at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2:30 p.m., at Oak Grove Cemetery, Hueytown, Alabama, with Brother Jerry Rea officiating.
Mr. Ellis was retired, a member of Woodmont Baptist Church, served as a crossing guard and Sunday school secretary. He was the former owner of Razorback Barbeque in Muscle Shoals and was a graduate of Reid State Technical College.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Nellie Ellis; sisters, Marlene Ousley and Betty Rockwell; and brother, Charles Ellis.
Survivors include
stepsons, William “Buddy” McIntyre, of Florence, Alabama, John R. McIntyre (Laura), of Huntsville, Alabama; and
stepdaughters, Marsha Dawn Giel (Dan), of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Suze Ann Grier (Bill), of Florence, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
