Charles (Chuck) Rossevelt Lawson, Sr. of Union Chapel, was 84 years old when he went to be with the good Lord on January 30, 2017. Chuck was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was a successful business owner of Whiteway Electric for 40 plus years, Sleepy Holler Campground, Whiteway Mobile Home Services and Whiteway Excavating. He served in the United States Army for 14 years and was a Korean War Veteran.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 1, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Union Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by Margarette Lockhart Lawson; his daughters-Shirly Ann and Sissy Lawson; his parents-Edgar and Alma Lawson; and his brothers and sisters-JR. and Rachel Lawson, Clifford and Estelle Lawson, Paul Lawson, Andy and Dorothy Anderson and Willie May Ladd.
He is survived by his Wife-Mary Black Lawson; Daughter-Carolyn and Eddie Annerton; Sons-Charlie and Gail Lawson, Ricky and Tina Lawson, Micky and Donna Lawson, Terry and Melissa Lawson and Donny and Lorrie Lawson; Brother-Jerry Lawson. Charles is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brian Lawson, Jerad Lawson, Cody Kilgore, Caleb Lawson, Jake Lawson, Nick Lawson, Nathan Lawson and Chase Alexander.
