Frances Drake Allred, 80, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2017. Frances was a strong witness for Christ. She led an untold number of individuals to Christ over the years. She began one of the initial jail ministries at the Morgan County Jail in 1992, while ministering to the inmates and providing them Bibles at her own cost. Just prior to her death, she was operating an internet ministry as she ministered daily to those in need. Indeed, she possessed a love for God that those who knew her could easily see through her compassion for others. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Drake and Gracie Powell Jones and brothers, Gerald and Kenneth Drake.

Frances is survived by her two children, Denise Murphy (Dale) and Dennis “Slugger” Allred II, (Lisa); grandson, Dennis “Trey” Allred III; granddaughters, Melissa and Melinda Murphy, Mallory McWhorter (Alex) and Codi Russell (Jamie); four great-granddaughters and six great-grandsons and brothers, Tom Drake and Michael Jones (Elgiree).
