Gwendolyn Gregory Warren, 82, of Albertville, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017.
Recieving of Friends/Family will be at First Baptist Church of Albertville, Thursday Jan. 19, from 12-2 p.m., followed by funeral service at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. Chris Johnson. Burial will immediately follow at Rock Springs Baptist Cemetery with Albertville Funeral Home Downtown directing. Her six grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
A lifelong resident of Marshall County, she was a member of First Baptist Church. She retired from a 30+ year career at Redstone Arsenal. Also a talented artist, Gwen was an energetic lady who enjoyed gardening, her special Sunday School circle & Goldcare Group, spending time with many friends and family, and serving others. Past volunteer work includes Shepherd’s Cove Hospice & Christian Women’s Job Corps.
Survivors include son John Neal (Christine) Warren of Albertville; three daughters: Carolyn Warren of Huntsville, Martha (Gene) Harrison of Trussville, Marie Parrish of Maryville, TN; six grandsons: Sean Parrish, Jesse Parrish, Isaac Parrish, David (Caleigh) Harrison, Ben Harrison, Taylor (Brittany) McMurtrey.
She was preceded in death by husband Wayne Warren, parents H. D. “Chuck” and Rena Mae Gregory, and sisters Vivian Roberts and Barbara Hayes.
Mrs. Warren’s children wish to thank all the many friends and family members who have been so supportive during the past few months. Much appreciation to the compassionate staff of Shepherd’s Cove Hospice; and special thanks to Anita Sanders for her kindness and excellent care of our Mother.
