Emily M. Smith, 91, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017, at Dogwood Plantation in Fulton. She was born December 23, 1925 to the late William Henry Tomlin and the late Mary Beulah Parker Tomlin in Itawamba County. She was a member of Dorsey Baptist Church where she was beloved Sunday school teacher. She was an avid gardener, caretaker, and animal lover. She married Argyle Haynes Smith, Sr. on April 8, 1943.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday January 15, 2017 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Keyes Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM TO 2:00 pm on Sunday January 15, 2017 at Senter Funeral Home.

She is survived by her son, A.H. “Pookie” (Deborah) Smith, Jr. of Dorsey, Grandchildren, Emily (David) Brown of Dorsey, Amber (Brad) Thomas of Dorsey, Aimee Smith of Tupelo, great grandchildren, Megan Brown, Corey Wade, Madison Collins, Matthew Brown, and Robert Smith.
She was preceded un death by her husband of 56 years, Argyle Haynes Smith, Sr., her parents, Sister, Mary Sue White, brother in law, Zane White, Brother, John Floyd Tomlin, sister in law, Charlene Tomlin, brother in law, Bobby Joe Smith, brother in law, Raymond Smith, sister in law, Helen Smith Mabus.
Pallbearers will be Corey Wade, Brad Thomas, David Brown, James McMillen, Melvin Higgins, Steve Gannaway.
