Brenda Mann Gray of Decatur passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017, following a short and brave battle with cancer. Brenda was born on May 6, 1951, and was the daughter of Sarah McCravy Mann and the late William Dwain Mann. She was a graduate of Arab High School, and graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a degree in business. Brenda was a loving mother and wife. She had an outgoing, loving, and generous spirit, and was a devoted friend to many. She loved her work, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Gray, who passed away on January 1, 2017, and her brother, Michael Wayne Mann, who passed away on August 2, 2016.
She is survived by her loving children, son, Joshua Thomas Gray of Huntsville, and stepdaughters, Kristin Gray Brown (Adam) of Houston, TX, and Laura Leigh Gray McManus (Wilson) of Huntsville. She is also survived by her mother, Sarah Mann; sister, Shelia Timmerman; brother, Danny Mann; her loving and devoted grandchildren, Allie, Anna, Clara, Wright, and Molly who knew her as their Gigi; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
