Dora May Wallace – Obituary

Dora May Wallace was born in 1925 in McCook, Nebraska. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and dedicated member of her beloved church, Shoal Creek Baptist.

On the night of Jan. 3rd, 2017, while lying in her bed, listening to her favorite music and holding the hands of loved ones, her final prayers were answered; she was called Home to be with her Lord and loved ones.

Dora May enjoyed her loving marriage to her late husband, Herb, tending her flower garden, spending time with family and being at her second home, Shoal Creek Baptist Church.

Dora was preceded in death by her faithful and loving husband of 57 years, Herbert W. Wallace; daughter, Janet Arlene Waddell; grandson, Joel Wayne Segars; one brother, one sister, and her parents, William H. and Mary Motter.

Survivors include Linda (Pennie) Segars, Bill Wallace and Curt Wallace; ten grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Shoal Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at 1 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Hartselle Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Shoal Creek Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shoal Creek Special Needs Department.
