Ruby Evelyn White Johnson, 100, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, at Florence Nursing. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood, Tennessee. Graveside services and burial will follow in Lutts Cemetery at 1 p.m. Ms. Ruby, daughter of the late Lawrence and Hattie Franks White and stepdaughter of D. D. White, was born in Hardin County Dec. 25, 1916. She was married to Brodie Eugene Johnson 50 years at his death in 1986. She taught at Pinhook School 37 years, was a former member of Retired Teachers Association, and was a member of Martin’s Mill Church of Christ.
Survivors are son, Ancil Eugene Johnson and wife, Carol, Florence; and sister, Bonnie Rich, Adamsville, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
