Melba Jean Bowling, 79 of Union Grove Alabama died Monday January 2, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Bowling was born October 3, 1937 in Marshall County to Gurley Jefferson Conley and Jamie Hazel Nearn. She was a homemaker and married to Walter Carlton Bowling for 26 years. She loved her cats and country music.
She was a member of Resurrection Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Carlton Bowling; a step son Britton Carl Bowling; step daughter: Pamela Denise Bowling; a brother and sister-in-law: Larry G. and Margaret Conley; a sister: Josephine Jones and her grandchild: Kyle Everett and Mindy Bowling.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday January 8, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Eldridge Criscoe and Larry Conley, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Sunday January 8, 2017at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Marshall County Shepherd’s Cove.
