Funeral service for James William “Bill” Schrader, Jr., age 82, of Decatur, will be Thursday, December 29, 2016, 12:00 p.m. at New Center Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Bates officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home. Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Schrader, who died Monday, December 29, 2016, at Athens-Limestone Hospital, was born July 23, 1934, in Columbia, TN, to James William Schrader, Sr. and Marie England Schrader. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tamiko “Tommie” Yamamoto Schrader. He was an avid fan of baseball and football, and always said he would never see the Cubs win the World Series. He was so glad he did! And, as always, Roll Tide, Roll!
He is survived by his wife, Adele Schrader of Decatur; three sons, Michael Schrader (Terrie) and Steve Schrader (Chrissy), both of Somerville, and Manny Cochran (Cody) of New Jersey; three daughters, Tina Price (Michael) of Joppa, and Katie Scott, and Addie Schrader, of Decatur; 12 grandchildren, Carolyn, Jason, Charlotte, Joshua, Samantha, Dylan, Tiffani, Katlyn, Steffani, Roxie, Eric, and Jake.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
