Funeral service for Wayne Humphries, 72, will be Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem West Baptist Church in Cullman County with Rev. Shane Wheeler, Rev. Jerry Lake and Rev. Tim Aris officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Mr. Humphries will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Bethlehem West Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the church.
Mr. Humphries died on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at his residence. He was born January 13, 1944, in Cullman County to Tolbert Lowell and Murlean Montgomery Humphries. As a dedicated Christian, he loved the Lord and loved his family and church family. He served as a Deacon at Bethlehem West Baptist Church for 45 years. He taught the Young Adult Sunday School Class for 30 years. Also, he sang in the group “Saved By Grace” from 1985-1995. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Raford Montgomery and Bobby Elmore.
