Charles Elmer Kilpatrick – Obituary

Mr. Charles Elmer Kilpatrick, age 64, a resident of Lasea Road in Spring Hill, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held by the family in Killen, Alabama at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Charles was born Feb. 4, 1952, in Florence, Alabama and was the son of the late Jimmy Kilpatrick and the late Annie Grigsby Kilpatrick. He served his country in the National Guard during the Vietnam era and he was a member of Fourth Ave. Church of Christ in Franklin. He worked for PPG Glass Company as a driver. Some of his hobbies included fishing, wood working, and playing old country music. He also enjoyed playing in a little local band and was proud of his name being on an old treble clef statue in Knoxville.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Kilpatrick, of Spring Hill; sons, Chad (Daina) Kilpatrick, of Ooltewah, and Brad (Christie) Kilpatrick, of Chattanooga; stepson, Paul (Grace) Highfill, of Thompson Stations; stepdaughter, Cindy (Nick) Valade, of Spring Hill; grandchildren, Jakob, Madison, Bailey, Brooke, and Judson Kilpatrick; and stepgrandchildren, Sophie and Rhett Highfill and Caitlyn and Bailey Valade.
