Ruby Jean Moore, 84, of Athens, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Moore was born Jan. 23, 1932 in Maury County, Tennessee. She was a longtime member of West Highland Baptist Church, later attended Salem Springs Baptist Church and Lindsay Lane Baptist Church. She was retired from Redstone Arsenal.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 at Spry Funeral Home with Kevin Ward officiating and burial in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home.
Grandsons and nephews will be pallbearers.
Survivors are daughter, Amy Moore Sowell Fiscus of Athens; sons, Terry Lee Moore of Brentwood, Tennessee, Timothy Lynn Moore of Athens and Brian L. Moore of Athens; sister, Bonnie Faye Reese of Lewisburg, Tennessee; brother, John Thomas Hargrove of Lewisburg, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Clifford “Dempsey” Moore.
