J.V. Wilford Burfield, 85, of Phil Campbell, Alabama, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Burfield lived most of his life in Franklin County, AL, except for the years he spent in Illinois and west Georgia, prior to his return to Alabama. He is a member of Prays Mill Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia. He retired from Lockheed as a machinist after 35 years of service.
Visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2016, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel with Bro. Bobby Poss officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery in Phil Campbell, Alabama.
Survivors include his wife Judy W. Burfield; children, Theresa Shuman, Tammy Burfield, Tim Burfield, and Lonnie Burfield. He is also survived by three sisters, four brothers, 2 granddaughters, and 3 grandsons plus several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Burfield was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Virgie Burfield, one brother, and one sister.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, will be directing.
