Benton O’Neal Masterson, 85 years old, passed from this life Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 at Falkville Nursing Home.
Visitation will be today, Dec. 17, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Renee Payne officiating. Burial will be in Masterson Cemetery.
O’Neal was born and lived in Lawrence County his entire life. He was a farmer and also worked for TVA at Colbert Steam Plant as a pipe fitter helper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Laura Dawson Masterson and his older brother, Woodie Royce Masterson.
O’Neal is survived by one brother, Benford Masterson and his wife, Reba; one nephew, Marc Masterson and his wife, Rachel; three great nieces, Savannah, Caroline, and Raegan Masterson, and a number of cousins.
Pallbearers will be Marc Masterson, Roger Masterson, Tom Pace, Renee Payne, Eddie Masterson, and Luther Masterson.
