Walter Steven Smith, age 41 of Pompano Beach, Florida passed away on December 8, 2016 at his residence. Walter was born June 30, 1975 in Huntsville, AL to Clifford Steven Smith and Barbara Biggerstaff Chapman.
He is survived by his daughter, Madelyn Rebecca Smith; father, Steve Smith and wife Teresa, and his mother, Barbara Chapman and husband Don; grandmother, Rebecca Biggerstaff; step-brother, Joe Broadwater; step-sisters, Nancy Whatley and Nancy Beth Kollert; aunts, Patsy Coats, Edith Vaught and husband Tommy, Elaine Logan and husband Jack, Francis Vincent and husband Gary; cousins, Stephanie Kitchens and husband Tim, Tansey Tierney and husband Will, Carmen Harvey, Kim Wilbanks and husband Tim and Rhonda Robinson and husband Bryant.
Walter attended UNA, and was a 2000 graduate of Virginia College. He was a member of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church, guitarist, and avid lover of animals.
Services for Mr. Smith will be Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Dusty McLemore and John Plunk officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery

Pallbearers will be Don Chapman, Tommy Vaught, Jack Logan, Bryant Robinson, Joe Broadwater, Tim Wilbanks, and Blaine Adams.
