Frances Britton Jeffreys, 85, of Tuscumbia, died Saturday, December 10, 2016. Her visitation will be Monday, December 12th from 12 noon until 2 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Steve Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscumbia Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Jeffreys was a member of Highland Park Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, C. Guy Jeffreys, to whom she was married for 62 years; her father, Walter Britton; mother, Ila Britton Hargett; son, Howard E. Jeffreys; brother, Kenneth Britton; and sister, Dorothy Britton Hall Thompson.
She is survived by her daughter, Beth Jeffreys Dickerson and her husband Joe; and grandson, Andrew Howard Jeffreys.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
