Jean Anne Stumbaugh – Obituary

Jean Anne Stumbaugh, of Harvest, passed away Sunday. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Jean touched many lives throughout her 85 years here on earth. She and Dave met at Grinnell College and were married upon graduation. During her husband’s 22 years of Naval service, she faithfully supported him, and raised a family as they moved to various duty assignments. She was a preschool teacher for 27 years at Bush Hill Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, Virginia. She and her husband, Dave, faithfully served in their church of 45 years. Jean was also an animal lover.
Survivors include her husband, David C. Stumbaugh; children, Sharon Stumbaugh, Sandy Stumbaugh, David C. Stumbaugh Jr., Mike Stumbaugh, and Jill Sampson; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Clinton, Iowa. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Virginia.
