Martha Lettie Garner, age 97 of Athens, AL passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Garner was born October 3, 1919 in Friendship, TN to John Lettie and Georgia Ethel Reynolds Cobb.
Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a son, William R. (Billy) Garner and wife Patricia of Athens, AL; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one sister; Louise Owsley of Dyersburg, TN.
Mrs. Garner was a member of the Methodist Church.
A memorial service for Mrs. Garner will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, TN.
