Dorothy “Dot” Mae Dunn, 83 of Arab Alabama died Tuesday December 6, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mrs. Dunn was born October 22, 1933 in Marshall County to James Benjamin Hill and Annie Pearl Hornsby Hill. She worked as a bookkeeper for Otelco until her retirement. Her husband Burnard Doyle Dunn preceded her in death on October 16, 2008. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and cooking.
She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children and in laws Daniel “Danny” James and Debra Dunn, Anece D. and Mike Stegall; her sister and brother-in-law: Joyce and Larry Whitley; her grandchildren: Daniel James Dunn II and Kristen, Amber Christine Dunn Marable and Kyle, Marcus Stegall and Abby and Ashley Stegall; great grandchildren: Grace Dianne Stegall, Cody Adam Marable and Zoey Roselyn Dunn. She was preceded in death by an infant brother and her husband Doyle Dunn.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday December 9, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Marcus Stegall and Radford Pritchett, officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Dale Whitley, Jerry Whitley, Garry Whitley, Saig McDonald, Tanner Burns, T.J. Tidmore, Murphy Putnam and Kyle Neal.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday December 8, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
