Danny Lee McMurry, 68, passed away on Dec. 4, 2016, in Tuscumbia, Alabama. He was born in Russellville, Alabama on March 12, 1948, to the late Marveline (Nix) and Odell McMurry. Danny was a loving and devoted husband, father, and paw paw. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Danny recently retired from Mittal Steel after 48 years of service.
Danny is survived by his wife, Patricia, of Portage, Indiana; children, Jim McMurry (Satin), of Valparaiso, Indiana, Katie Garibaldi (Lowell), of Evansville, Indiana, Danny McMurry Jr., of Tuscumbia, Alabama, and Angela Carpenter, of Tuscumbia, Alabama; siblings, Barbara Tittle (Aubrey) and Eric Fuller; grandchildren, Anthony, Amy, Cameron, Elijah, and Ryleigh; and several great-grandchildren.
Services for Danny will be Friday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 1800 St. George Rd., Evansville, Indiana, with Celebrant Steve Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow within the park. Friends and family may call on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
