Kenneth H. Coomer Sr., 84, died Sunday, Dec. 4, at his home. His funeral will be Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m., at Jackson Memory Funeral Home. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Kenneth was born Jan. 15, 1932, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Bradley Coomer and Nettie Rae Greenwell; four sisters; and two brothers.
He is survived by three daughters, Sandy Spells, Nancy Green (Keith), and Flo Roehrig (Steve), and one son, Ken Coomer Jr. (Joyce). He also leaves two stepchildren, Jackie Arnold and Lonnie Lewis; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He attended Leighton Baptist Church and was actively involved in the senior centers around the Shoals and Lawrence County.
