Mrs. Paula Bailey Guthrie, born in Marshall County, AL passed away on Monday. Paula was a kind-hearted loving mother, a doting Nana, and a devoted wife. Her warm, selfless spirit will live on in the lives of her surviving family.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, Mickey Dale Guthrie; her two sons, Todd Bailey McAdams (Nikki) of Huntsville, AL and David Bailey McAdams of Hooper, Utah; four grandchildren whom she treasured deeply, Tate, Makayla, Jakson, and Lila; two sisters Anne Wright and Lisa Bailey; and nieces and nephews.
Paula retired as a social worker for the Department of Human Resources in Huntsville after 25 years, and subsequently retired from Mountain Lakes Behavioral Healthcare in Guntersville, AL in 2014. Paula embodied the true meaning of a social worker: an angel here on earth, and now our forever guardian angel.
Following cremation, a private memorial service will be conducted for the family.
For any memoriam in honor of Paula, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
