Funeral services for Mr. Jeffery Lynn Burns, age 50 of Sumiton, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday December 8, 2016 at Duck River Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery, with Rev. Wayne Brown and Bro. Malcolm Carter II, officiating. He will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Ragsdale was born on April 3, 1966 to the late Charles & Betty Robertson Burns; he passed away at home on December 4, 2016. Jeffery enjoyed being around friends and family, and he loved his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Ervie & Inez Burns and Ruby Robertson.
Survivors include, 2 – Sons – Bryan (Evelyn) Burns & Nicholas Burns; Sister – Pam (Mickey) Whitt; Brother – Tim (Pam) Burns; 8 – Grandchildren – Autumn Burns, Levi Burns, Nathan Burns, Zoey Burns, Mariah Burns, Jeremiah Burns, Khali Burns & Ava Burns; and a Host of Family & Friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
