davidDavid Henderson Letson, aka Squeaky, 73, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Pastors Les and B.K. Jones of New Song Church will be officiating. Visitation will be today, Dec. 5, 2016, from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.

David was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on April 10, 1943. David was married to Ora Dean Davis on March 30, 1964, they were married 52 years.

David worked as a contractor at Redstone Arsenal for 31 years. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and watching Alabama football, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and their friends. He loved nothing more than seeing them having fun and he was always providing plenty of laughs for them.

David is survived by his wife, Ora Dean Letson; daughter, Lora Letson Cowart (David), of Hartselle; four grandchildren, David Wayne Breed (Kara), Courtney Thompson, Ethan Cowart and Emily Cowart; great-grandchild, Avery Breed; two sisters, Ann King and Martha Jean Landers; and brother, Jerry Letson.

David was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Thompson Breed; one sister and six brothers.

The family of David Letson wishes to thank Pastors Les and B.K. Jones, Pastor Ryan Childers, Pastor Greg Cain, the nursing staff at Decatur General and all family and friends that have been there during this difficult time.

Pallbearers will be bowling friends and nephews.
