The family of C. Dewayne Collins, 62, of Decatur will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at First Bible Church of Decatur. Private Interment will be in Tennessee. Shelton Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mr. Collins, who died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born May 8, 1954, in Maury County, Tennessee, to Calvin Robert Collins and Lennie Sullivan Collins. He was preceded in death by his mother. Mr. Collins worked as an engineer for NASA.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Stephens Collins; one son, Brian Collins (Amanda); one daughter, Shannon Allred (Mike); his father, Calvin Collins; one sister, Brenda Collins; and five grandchildren, Zoie, Zanna, Zimeri and Zadie Collins, and Ella Allred.
