Funeral for Billy Eugene Mooney, 84, of Moulton will be Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Standridge officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Mooney died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at NHC. He was born July 30, 1932, to Simeon Brock Mooney and Cordelia Ownes Mooney. He retired from Champion Paper, served in the U.S. Air Force and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Mooney; son, Billy Eugene Mooney; daughter, Jo Ann (Stanley) Martin; and granddaughter, Ashley Nichole Martin.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
