Hyon -Cha Lind – Obituary

lindHyon -Cha Lind, 79, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Born in Tague, Korea on October 8, l937, she met and married her husband, the late Leslie Joel Lind, while he was serving in the military. She spent her life as a military wife traveling the world. Much of her time was as a master civilian cook at military installations. A patriotic American until her death, she became a proud U. S. citizen on October 10, 1966. She had resided in Tupelo since l984. She attended the Anchor Holds Church in Guntown, enjoyed singing and merriment, cooking, bingo and being the perfect housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family. Her loving, caregiving spirit made her the “Mama of all Momma’s”. She will be missed greatly.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 7 PM Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Anchor Holds Church (162 Hwy 348, Blue Springs-west of Guntown) with her pastor, Bro Mike Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 6 PM-service time Friday only at the Church. Burial will be private. Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel is honored to be serving their friends
Those who loved her most include her daughter, Sheila Lind White (Sid) of Tupelo and son, Ronnie Lind (Angela) of Guntown; her grandchildren; Leslie (Brandon), Christina (Chris), Ryan, Doug (Katlin) and Shelby and Sid, Jr. 3 great grandchildren: Alexis, Mia and Chaston. Her nieces and nephews, David, Jennifer, Deborah and Jayden. Numerous friends and relatives who remain in Korea. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie in l986, her parents and her daughter, Kathleen Ashley in 2014.
