Ronald Thomas Kusibab, passed away on November 4, 2016 in his home in Decatur, AL.
Ron was born October 15, 1942 and was raised in Detroit, MI. He graduated from Chadsey High School in Detroit in 1960. Shortly after high school he began three year stint in the Army serving in Korea. After being honorably discharged he moved back to Michigan where he began his career at Wolverine Tube, Inc. outside of Detroit, MI in 1965. He transferred to Decatur, AL with Wolverine in 1972 with the love of his life Kathy and first son Jeff, and three years later they had their second son Brandon. Ron remained with Wolverine Tube, Inc. in Decatur his entire professional career for 43 years until his retirement in 2008.
After a long and successful career in the “computer room” at Wolverine, he enjoyed spending his time with his family, was a passionate outdoors man and loved watching his Michigan Wolverine football team.
He is survived by the love of his life and his wife of almost 44 years, Kathy Kusibab, his sons, Jeff Kusibab (Lori) of Huntsville, AL and Brandon Kusibab (Michele) of Birmingham, AL; three beloved grandsons, Jackson, Noah and Grayson Kusibab.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Christine Kusibab, his brother Robert Kusibab and sister Gertrude Milczak.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 11, 2016 at Shelton Funeral Home, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or St Ann’s School.
