gracieGracie Mitchell DeVaney, age 89, Russellville, passed away on Monday, November 07, 2016 at Burns Nursing Home.

Gracie was a long time member and organist at Belgreen Baptist Church. She worked for many years at CB&S Bank as a teller.

The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, Wednesday, November 09, 2016 at Spry Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 09, 2016 at Greenhill Ezzell Cemetery with Bro. Randy Hargett and Bro. Brent Hargett officiating.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gertrue DeVaney; parents, Edgar Lee & Lizzie Bell (Johnson) Mitchell; brothers, Benjamin R. Mitchell, Milton Mitchell; sisters, Hortense Rea, Helen Mitchell, and Maedrew Mitchell.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her nephews, Ronald Benson (wife, Donna), Byron Mitchell (wife, Ann), Randy Hargett, Tom Johns; nieces, Kaye (husband, G.C.) Swinney, Nancy Lowe, Paula Cobb (husband, Jay); great-nieces, Heather Sharp (husband, Heath), Kelli Higgins (husband, Craig); great-nephew, Brent Hargett (wife, Kristen); great-great-nieces, Hollie Sharp, Meredith Hargett; brothers & sisters-in-law, Maedrew Johns, Virginia & Gene McCalmon, Bill & Ruth Benson; and a host of friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Helen Keller Hospital, Maria, Denise, & Mary and other staff of Burns Nursing Home; and the staff of Gentiva Hospice for your love and care of our family.

Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
