Roger Robinson – Obituary

Roger Robinson, 73, passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at The Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born Nov. 26, 1942, to the late Talmer Robinson and the late Rue Robinson in Prentiss County. He was a member of Iuka Church of Christ.

He was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. On May 7, 1965, he married the former Faye Ellen Wilson. He was a retired insurance agent and business man and served for a period of time in the MS National Guard. He served the church in many capacities at different congregations over the years preaching, teaching and ministering to others.

A celebration of Roger’s life was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, at Iuka Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Faye, of Tishomingo; son, Mitch Parrish (Jennifer), of Florence, Alabama; daughters, Tina Robinson, of Tishomingo and Heather Palmer, of Guntown; three granddaughters, McKinna Palmer, Anna Kate Robinson, and Sydney Palmer; two sisters, Billie T. Loveless and Betty Lou Moore, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson,Jared Wayne Gann; brothers, Doyle, Autis, Otis, Wayne, and Van; and sister, Dorothy.
