James Rankin Patterson, 54 of Sheffield, died Friday, November 4, 2016. Visitation will be Monday, November 7, 2016 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia with Ronnie Poag officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield.
Randy was an Alabama native, a member of Cox Boulevard Church of Christ, a graduate of Mars Hill Bible School and worked as a Nuclear Chemist at Browns Ferry.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Patterson; mother, Cecilia Makin Patterson; and brother, Tommy Wayne Patterson.
Randy is survived by his two sons, Tyler and Cody Mitchell Patterson; sisters, Sydna Mathes (Greg); aunts, Joyce Carpenter and Peggy Pedden; special friends, Valerie Patterson and Sarah and Laura Stanley; one niece and nephews.
Friends will serve as pallbearers.
