Funeral service for Freddie Roy Holmes, Sr., 80, will be Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stephen Cannon officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mt Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Holmes died on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born May 21, 1936, in Morgan County to George Holmes and Cora Lee Akins Holmes. Mr. Holmes was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He attended Shiloh Baptist Church and was employed by General Motors as a millwright in the maintenance department prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife: Sue Holmes and two children: Randy Holmes and Sandi Holmes Copeland.
