Helen Roberts Mayberry age 82 of Empire, passed away Wednesday October 26, 2016 at her residence. She was a long time member of Dilworth Memorial Freewill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday October 29, 2016 at 11:00 am in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Wayne Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at New Canaan Cemetery in Empire. Visitation is Friday night 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Annie Mae Roberts; son, Butch Busby; grandchildren, D.D. Busby and Angela Busby; brothers, Eugene, Buddy, Billy Joe and Sammy Roberts and son in law, Ronnie Firestone.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, William Therman Mayberry; children, Diane Firestone and Jeffrey Mayberry; grandchildren, Brandie Godwin (Robert) and Bonita Bussey (Tommy); great grandchildren, Alan Whitlow, Alex Russell, Brenden Whitlow and Brianna Russell; special nephews, Gary and James Roberts; special niece, Novella Roberts; many other relatives and a host of friends.
