Funeral service for Marion Edith Nunnelee, age 89, of Decatur, will be Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Reverend Richie Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Nunnelee, who died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 at her home, was born April 11, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York to Louis Henry Swanson and Edith Kammer Swanson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Bailey Nunnelee; parents; daughter, Penny Shoemake and husband, Rickey; and three brothers.
She is survived by two sons, John Henry Nunnelee (Elaine) and Alan Wayne Nunnelee (Rhonda), both of Decatur; one daughter, Lisa Nunnelee Crane (Bruce), of Madison; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
