Mary Elizabeth Benson Burkart, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at the age of 59. Graveside services were held Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Mike McElroy and Andrew Schmitt officiating. Jeffcoat Funeral Home directed.
Mary Beth was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Vera Benson and Lonnie and Luvenia DeVaney.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, James Swift Burkart Jr.; parents, Billy Watson and Delma Ruth Benson, of Muscle Shoals; brother, Ronald Wayne Benson and wife, Donna, of Littleville; and a host of friends and family who loved her dearly.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
