aqA graveside service for AQ Weaver will be Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at 11 o’clock a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur, Alabama with Dr. Hughey Reynolds and Dr. Ken Dunivant officiating. Burial will be at the Roselawn Cemetery Mausoleum with visitation immediately following the service. Mr. Weaver died Oct. 14, 2016. He was born on Sept. 25, 1926 in Morgan County, Alabama to Ivey Weaver and Lois (Rena) Prince Weaver.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joyce Whitmire Weaver; and two sons, Lawrence Clark Weaver (Leslie) and William Michael Weaver (Sabrina), both of Decatur; four granddaughters, Elizabeth Clark Weaver, Caroline Noble Weaver Ashwander (Bill), Ivey Katherine Weaver, and Anna Quinn Weaver; and three great-grandchildren, William Samuel Ashwander Jr., John Frederick Ashwander, and Elizabeth Noble Ashwander.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Samuel “Buddy” Weaver, and his sister, Ina Lee Weaver Aday.

Mr. Weaver graduated from Cotaco High School. He left the family farm to serve in the United States Navy during World War II. He thereafter became executive vice president of Baker Industries, Inc. in Hartselle, Alabama, and Bilt Rite Box Company, Inc. in Decatur, Alabama. He loved his family, his church, and his country.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
